Operational Basics of a Solar Thermosyphon System:
Through the process of natural convection, hot water rises and cold water sinks. This process is an integral part of the operation of a Thermosyphon System. Cold water sinks from the storage tank at the top of the unit, into the evacuated tubes. While within the tubes, that cold water is heated, rising back up into the storage tank as it increases in temperature. Throughout the day, all of the cold water within the Thermpsyphon System will be heated in this way.
