Solar Thermal Workshop Albuquerque, New Mexico May 20th, 2009

Albuquerque Solar Hot Water Workshop

Specific location and time TBA.

When visiting Albuquerque, you’ll find its spectacular weather perfect for outdoor activities, including biking, skiing and playing on some of the country’s best golf courses. Our unique weather characteristics also make Albuquerque the hot air ballooning capital of the world. Balloons dot our clear blue skies almost every morning, revealing a myriad of colors year-round. While visiting Albuquerque at night, you’ll notice the city is bathed in the glow of neon signs, relics of Albuquerque's place on historic Route 66. Locals and visitors kick up their heels in our bustling downtown district, go out for a night of entertainment by one of our international theater and dance companies, or visit one of the many casinos surrounding the metropolitan area.

The city of Albuquerque lies one mile above sea level and it has a high-desert climate that allows you to experience the contrast between desert and forest all under our vast blue sky.

Be aware that low humidity and lots of sunshine means visitors to Albuquerque need to stay hydrated by drinking lots of water as well as using lotion and sunblock for protection. Many visitors cannot believe how many completely beautiful days Albuquerque enjoys year round. We bask in 310 days of sunshine, blessed with a mild, dry climate and four distinctly beautiful seasons.

SunMaxx Solar offers a full range of solar hot water products, including the SunMaxx TS20 and the SunMaxx TS30. These thermosyphon systems do not require pumps or electronics to operate. By simply installing one of these systems at your home, facing your system toward the sun, you can reduce your dependance on fossil fuels while enjoying free hot water.

SunMaxx TS20

Operational Basics of a Solar Thermosyphon System:

Through the process of natural convection, hot water rises and cold water sinks. This process is the basic princliple behind the operation of a Thermosyphon System. Cold water sinks from the storage tank at the top of the unit, into the evacuated tubes. That cold water is heated within the tubes and as it rises in temperature, it rises back up into the storage tank. Throughout the day, all of the cold water within the Thermpsyphon System will be heated in this way.

These seminars and workshops are designed to help newcomers to the renewable energy field get a basic or advanced understanding of the different renewable energy options that are available and of how these various systems can be applied, at home or around the office, to save hundreds or even thousands of dollars a year in energy costs. Renewable energy dealers and installers also find these seminars highly benficial, as a way to stay up to date on the latest renewable energy equipment, news, industry trends and sales techniques.

Silicon Solar Seminars are great for anyone interested in renewable energy, no matter what their Solar Technologies knowledge level might be going in to the seminar.
